Good morning! What does feeling lousy and rainy weather have in common? I'm not sure, but I feel very sick and it's foggy and rainy outside. I'm home from work today because I'm not sure I can even get out of bed. Does this stop me from blogging about our wonderful weather? Absolutely, NOT! However, it will be short. :-)

Monday, August 30th

Good morning! It was a dreary weekend here in the Interior. Saturday was chilly and rainy. Our high was 53 and it rained almost all day. Sunday started out cloudy and damp, but by the afternoon we had beautiful sunshine. The temperature topped out at 61. Overnight lows have been in the low 40's.

This week looks to be rather mild for late August and early September. The NWS calls for partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the low 60's. Lows should average in the low 40's.

Friday, August 27th

Good morning from North Pole, Alaska! Thursday was an incredibly beautiful day here in the Interior. We had a high of 64 degrees with mostly sunny skies. However, the dry weather is about to change. The NWS is calling for increasing clouds today and rain tonight and tomorrow. Highs should be in the 60's today and around 55 on Saturday.

The Aurora Borealis was out again last evening. I want to thank my dear, sweet husband for NOT waking me up to view it!

Thursday, August 26th

Good morning! Wednesday was a beautiful day in the Interior. We had partly cloudy skies and a high temperature of 63 degrees. The NWS is calling for sunny skies today and a high between 65 and 70.

Tuesday, August 24th and the Aurora

Good morning! We had an incredible display of the Aurora Borealis last evening! Pictures are posted below.

I am running a bit late this morning. So, I will get right to the point. The NWS is calling for a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid 60's.

Cool Weekend Mornings and a Warmer Monday

Good morning from North Pole, Alaska! We had a beautiful weekend here in the Interior. Saturday morning started off at 34 degrees. Since I had an early morning meeting, I put on long pants and a long-sleeve shirt and headed out. By the time I got out of my meeting at Noon, the temperature was up to 64 degrees! Needless to say, I was way too hot. I really need to learn to dress in layers!

Sunday morning I arose to 31.6 degrees. Our first freeze of the Fall season! As I was getting ready to go to church, I remembered my lesson from Saturday. So, I put on something light weight and a pair of sandals and headed off to service. Yes, it was a bit chilly, but by the time we got out, the weather was a perfect 61 degrees.

This morning (Monday, August 23rd) our low was 43 degrees. It is a bit warmer with the cloud cover. However, the NWS promises we will top out in the mid 60's again. They hold true to this for the rest of the week. Personally, I'll take it!

Friday, August 20th

Good morning! Thursday was a mild day. We had a high of 58 degrees with overcast skies. Today should be close to the same. However, we should have highs in the low 60's.
