Tuesday, February 8th

Good morning! Monday was filled with wonderful sunshine! After a long and dark winter, people in the sub-arctic are happy to see that flaming ball of fire light up the sky. As we were driving around Fairbanks, I was almost giddy about getting to wear my sunglasses. Life is good!

We may not need those sunglasses for the next several days, as clouds are starting to roll into the area. It looks as if we will see highs around 15 above today and lows around zero tonight. There is a mention of snow for tomorrow afternoon through Thursday morning. Then, it appears that we may have a cold snap. The NWS is predicting lows of 35 below and highs of 15 below into the weekend.
